eLinen

eLinen is a system similar to eInventory, that registers each item with its own RFID. It simplified the linen and laundry process, removing manual checks and logs and shift to a better, seamless experience for the user.

With EF’s move towards proactive instead of reactive systems, AI integration to eLinen will be made and implemented towards the 3rd quarter of 2026.

In eLinen, this is seen where AI predicts  linen demand based on a 48-hour data history – allowing linen to be constantly stocked and adjusted based on incoming demand.

The system tracks linen orders, including issued linen, returned linen, and owed linen. With the scanning of the RFID, each linen item changes in its status. eLinen app also allows for express orders to be made.
With the utilisation of RFID and barcode, every asset can be tagged to a registered identity in the system, eliminating any guesswork about what you own, where it is, and what kind of condition it is in. This prevents ghost assets (items on paper that no longer exist) and ensures accountability across departments and locations.
The eLinen app also allows for a task to be created for the inspection of linen items, whereby the housekeeping team can set the quantity that they have inspected and the inspection would follow up with the approval from their supervisor, ensuring that quality checks are constantly up to standard.

eLinen works together with eSmart Cabinets, a smart storage device that automatically calculates the amount of linen stored within it and any quantity that has been taken out. This added accountability greatly restricts any linen items from being lost or missing as logs are created with the opening of the cabinet.
